Purchasing Operations Coordinator LHH has partnered with an established biotech company in North County San Diego that is seeking a Purchasing Operations Coordinator to join their team on a contract to potential hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable balancing purchasing, supplier communication, and operational support responsibilities while managing competing priorities. Responsibilities: Support daily purchasing and operational activities for a growing biotech organization Communicate with suppliers via phone and email regarding orders, deliveries, pricing, and product availability Create, process, and track purchase orders while ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up Coordinate with internal teams to support inventory, procurement, and operational needs Monitor order status and proactively resolve issues related to shipments, shortages, or delays Maintain accurate records and documentation within company systems Assist with administrative and operational projects as needed Manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines Qualifications: 1+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, operations, supply chain, customer service, or a related field Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment Highly reliable, organized, and self-motivated Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and adapt to changing business needs Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook Experience working with suppliers, vendors, or inventory systems is preferred Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively Compensation $28.00 - $32.00/hour Contract-to-Hire opportunity based on performance and business needs Hybrid work schedule Opportunity to join an established and innovative biotech company Schedule: Hybrid Schedule Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (some flexibility) Office is located in north county San Diego If you're a detail-oriented professional who enjoys balancing purchasing, supplier communication, and operations in a fast-paced environment, apply today!
