Job ID: JC-521650 – Benefit Services Team Analyst (LT), Analyst I. Salary: $3,861.00 – $6,276.00 per month. CalSTRS Service Retirement Division is offering a limited‑term Analyst I position in the Benefit Services Team for a maximum of 24 months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. Roles & Responsibilities Administer the Community Property (CP), Medicare Premium Payment Program (MPPP), Dues & Insurance Deductions (DID) and Tax Levy workloads under the supervision of the Pension Program Manager I. Perform analytical tasks, interpret CalSTRS law, apply policies and ensure accurate benefit processing. Exercise a high degree of initiative and good judgment in a team environment. Qualifications Excellent time‑management skills for efficient completion of projects and prioritization of competing assignments. Effective oral and written communication with all staff and management levels. Team‑player capability and cross‑team collaboration. Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills. Ability to meet non‑negotiable deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Current Analyst I examination (valid score). Minimum Requirements Salaries by class: Analyst I – $3,861.00 – $4,839.00 (A) – $4,181.00 – $5,233.00 (B) – $5,014.00 – $6,276.00 (C). One position for the full‑time, 12‑month limited‑term role. Work location: hybrid – two in‑office days (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) with the remaining days remote. Working Conditions Hybrid work plan: two in‑office days per week and the rest remote.
