Credit Risk Business Analyst

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our Risk Technology team. The role is based in Charlotte, NC, and is a contract position. The ideal candidate will work with stakeholders across Risk, Data, and Technology teams, ensuring data integrity and supporting strategic initiatives. Experience with database technologies and a deep understanding of credit risk processes are required.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements for credit risk data and analytics.
• Perform data mapping between source systems and target models, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct data profiling to assess data quality and support remediation efforts.
• Write complex queries to extract, analyze, and validate data from various databases.
• Support the development and enhancement of credit risk models by providing high-quality data inputs.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, with 3 years focused on credit risk.
• Strong proficiency in database query languages and experience working with large datasets.
• Hands-on experience with data mapping, profiling, and data quality tools.
• Solid understanding of credit risk concepts and regulatory frameworks.
