Product Manager - Payments & Risk

Role Description

As Product Manager - Payments & Risk, you will be responsible for designing, optimising, and overseeing all aspects of product risk related to payments across the player journey, including deposits, withdrawals, PSP integrations, KYC, and fraud prevention.

You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Payments, Compliance, Risk, Engineering, and Operations, to ensure that our payments ecosystem is not only seamless and efficient but secure and compliant. This role reports to the VP of Payments and is fully remote.

Your day to day:

• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for payments and risk, including PSP integrations, PSP flows, conversions, risk features, automated withdrawals, fraud flagging systems and chargeback management.
• Lead the delivery of new initiatives aimed at enhancing payments and risk management, payment process optimisation, and fraud prevention capabilities.
• Work with PSPs to ensure robust risk management and compliance is embedded in integrations.
• Define and track KPIs for PSPs' success rates, failure rates, fraud, chargebacks, risk exposure, and withdrawal performance.
• Identify and prioritise opportunities to improve and automate payments processing and risk management processes.
• Collaborate with Compliance and Legal to ensure alignment with evolving regulations and standards.
• Support the Payments team in evaluating payments for new markets, features, and product launches.
• Partner with Customer Support and Operations to understand pain points and enhance the customer experience while maintaining fraud controls.
• Contribute to strategic planning and roadmap definition for Payments and Risk.
• Management skills (this role will have direct reports).

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Product Manager in the Casino/Gambling sector with a focus on payments and risk.
• Knowledge of all types of payment options, acquiring, eWallets, Digital wallets, vouchers, online banking, offline payments, etc.
• In-depth understanding of how payment providers work, payment flows, settlements, and risk features.
• Strong understanding of PSP risk features, fraud prevention tools, KYC/AML workflows, and chargeback management.
• Track record of delivering successful product features and improvements in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technical understanding of APIs, data flows, and payment integrations.
• Ability to navigate compliance and regulatory requirements in gaming or financial services.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance business, customer, and compliance needs.
• Analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.

Requirements

• Familiarity with automated payments systems and fraud detection engines.
• Previous exposure to customer journey mapping within gaming payments.
• AI experience for gaming payments and risk.
