Travel RN - Cardiovascular ICU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring OH or compact RN licensure and prior cardiac ICU experience. Requirements Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration BLS and ACLS certifications required NIHSS certification required 2 years of cardiac ICU experience preferred Epic experience required Skills required: IV starts, telemetry, ventilator management, Swan-Ganz monitoring, conscious sedation, balloon pump management, and PA line management Teaching hospital experience preferred Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a Manager/Director or formal leadership role; Charge RN acceptable for the second reference; no coworker references accepted Responsibilities Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30) 36 hours per week Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period (Friday/Saturday for night shift) Rotating holiday coverage required Patient ratios approximately 1:1-2 Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity level Uses Epic EMR Provide critical care nursing to complex cardiovascular patients including post-cardiac surgery, CABG, TAVR, valve repair/replacement, and VAD patients Manage patients with IABP, ECMO, Impella, and CVP monitoring as needed Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous IV sedation, and manage emergency medications Perform sheath removal, epicardial pacing wire care, and 12-lead EKG interpretation Support patients with renal replacement therapy (CRRT/CVVHD) and multisystem organ dysfunction Previous travel experience preferred but first-time travelers may be considered Local candidates accepted at the same rate Former employees eligible for assignment consideration after 6 months away from the facility Current employees are ineligible for travel assignments at this health system RTO must be submitted with application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict credentialing timelines Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Job ID: P-746105 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
