VAS Senior Vice President

About the Role

As a CBRE VAS – Senior Vice President, you will be responsible for setting growth and developing strategies for local or regional appraisal practices within the Valuation function, which inspects and resolves the value of land, property, and businesses.

What You’ll Do

• Set the regional appraisal growth strategy by quantifying market size, competitors, and positioning.
• Determine the value of a property and define business solutions based on appraisal requests and project scopes.
• Review data on comparable properties, sales, listings, vacancies, and related market information.
• Follow the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice and maintain confidentiality of information.
• Communicate strategy to senior management and supply regular reports on progress, metrics, revenue, and profitability.
• Identify mergers and acquisition opportunities and participate in budget discussions.
• Present market data and analysis to review property and sales trends.
• Track property value and development potential.
• Apply extensive knowledge of principles, techniques, and theories to build innovative solutions.
• Use expertise in multiple job areas to mentor and support others.
• Lead by example, model behaviors aligned with CBRE RISE values, and negotiate with senior stakeholders.
• Drive program and service prioritization and impact policy design and business direction through innovative services or products.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) with 12 years of commercial appraisal experience; Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• General State Certification or License in at least one state and MAI designation.
• Multi‑dimensional, conceptual, and innovative thinking to develop new solutions.
• Ability to identify and solve complex problems.
• In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Expert organizational skills and a strong analytical approach.
• Advanced math skills, including the ability to compute percentages, fractions, and other financial calculations.

Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from $47,500 to $70,304 annually, plus additional incentive compensation such as fee splits. Benefits include 401(k), dental insurance, health insurance, life insurance, and vision insurance.
