Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and assessments from initial consultations to treatment completion, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each client’s unique needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment and recovery plans with measurable goals tailored to individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities aligned with best practices in mental health care.

• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans accordingly to address emerging challenges or changes in client status.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals including psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, and social workers to create holistic intervention plans for complex cases.

• Manage referrals and coordinate continuity of care for clients transitioning between services or requiring additional support.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and develop strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring clients receive the support they need.

• Provide support and resources to family members and primary caregivers, helping them understand and manage their loved ones' mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Wise Recovery Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse range of clients facing varying issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and other mental health disorders. Our inclusive approach emphasizes cultural competency and sensitivity, enabling you to deliver tailored therapeutic care that resonates with each individual’s background and experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts.

• Successful completion and passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.

• Exceptional empathy and interpersonal skills with a thoughtful approach to client care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, preferably in an outpatient setting.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to ensure efficient documentation and client management.

• Experience navigating the complexities of physical and emotional health conditions, along with co-occurring addiction disorders.

• Knowledge of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Insight into the pharmacological aspects of mental health treatment, including the effects of various medications.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, complemented by a sign-on bonus.
