Job Summary

The Registered Nurse plays a vital role in delivering nursing care within the healthcare system, adhering to the guidelines set forth by the Nurse Practice Act and relevant regulatory standards. This position emphasizes ethical practice as outlined by the ANA code of ethics. The RN is responsible for ensuring safety in their practice and incorporates evidence-based principles, while also being aware of their own knowledge and experience levels. They take initiative in enhancing their own understanding and that of their patient care team by engaging with available resources and programs. Additionally, the RN is tasked with reporting any safety concerns, such as hazardous conditions or medical errors, and must possess a thorough understanding of the patient demographics they serve. They supervise and guide the delegation of tasks among team members and collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers. The RN is also responsible for setting and assessing priorities through appropriate interventions aimed at measurable improvements. As both an individual practitioner and a team leader, the RN utilizes the nursing process to tailor care plans to meet the specific needs of patients.

Position Overview

We are looking for a committed Registered Nurse to join our team at Monmouth Medical Center.

Qualifications

Required:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma
• 1-2 years of experience in a relevant specialty
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Proficient in computer skills

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey
• Must hold a valid New Jersey State Driver’s License

Preferred:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Clinical experience from an NLN accredited program
• Eligibility for Screening Certification
• National Certification

Scheduling Requirements

• Night Shift, 36 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure safety in practice while adhering to evidence-based principles, recognizing personal knowledge and experience, and promoting the advancement of knowledge within the patient care team.
• Report any identified safety issues, including hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the patient population served.
• Supervise and guide the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members, collaborating with other healthcare providers.
• Set and evaluate priorities consistently through appropriate interventions aimed at measurable outcomes.
• Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and customize care plans to meet individual patient needs.
