Assistant Controller

Kforce's client, a growing global organization located in the Saint Louis, MO area is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to support corporate accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and global consolidation activities. This role partners closely with executive leadership and global finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, process improvements, and compliance with U.S. GAAP. The client offers salary and benefits for this hybrid position, Tuesday and Thursday on-site, and a team-oriented working environment. Responsibilities Support the Corporate Controller in overseeing accounting operations and financial reporting Manage month-end close processes and ensure timely, accurate results Oversee general ledger activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations Assist with global consolidations and foreign currency accounting Support implementation of new accounting standards and technical accounting initiatives Strengthen internal controls, policies, and compliance processes Coordinate annual audits and support external auditors Analyze financial results and prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting packages Mentor and support accounting staff Assist with cash flow analysis, forecasting, and M&A integration activities Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and system optimization Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance CPA strongly preferred Experience with consolidations, internal controls, and audit support Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting Advanced Excel and ERP system skills Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Public accounting experience highly preferred Pay & Benefits The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
