_ ** Insurance Defense Attorney - Construction Litigation **_

** Location: White Plains, NY | Hybrid: 3 days in office / 2 days remote **

Malapero Prisco & Klauber LLP is seeking an experienced Construction Litigation / Insurance Defense Attorney to join our growing litigation practice in White Plains, NY.

We are looking for an attorney with 3+ years of litigation experience , with particular interest in candidates who have handled construction accident claims, New York Labor Law matters, insurance defense, general liability, premises liability, or motor vehicle litigation.

This is an opportunity for an attorney who wants meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and the ability to manage cases from inception through resolution.

What You'll Do

• Independently manage a caseload from inception through resolution
• Handle construction accident and general liability litigation
• Analyze and defend claims involving New York Labor Law §§ 200, 240 and 241
• Draft and argue motions and other substantive legal documents
• Manage discovery and conduct depositions
• Handle court appearances throughout NYC, Westchester, Nassau and Suffolk
• Develop litigation strategy and work directly with clients and insurance carriers
• Participate in mediations, settlement negotiations and trial preparation
• Take ownership of assigned matters while working collaboratively with partners and the litigation team

Ideal Background

We are particularly interested in attorneys with experience in one or more of the following:

• Construction accident litigation
• New York Labor Law §§ 200, 240 and 241
• Insurance defense litigation
• General liability litigation
• Premises liability
• Motor vehicle / automobile liability
• Personal injury defense
• Construction-related claims
• Motion practice, discovery and depositions

** 3+ years of litigation experience preferred. Construction litigation and/or direct insurance defense experience is strongly preferred. **

Qualifications

• Active admission to the New York State Bar
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage litigation matters
• Strong legal writing, research and oral advocacy skills
• Strong case management and communication skills
• Ability to appear in courts throughout the NYC/Westchester/Long Island area
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Compensation

** $85,000–$200,000+, based on experience and qualifications **

• Junior Associate: $85,000–$120,000
• Senior Associate: $120,000–$200,000+
