Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with inpatient medication preparation, dispensing, and verification under supervision.
• Support sterile compounding, unit-dose packaging, and medication storage and labeling accuracy.
• Participate in medication reconciliation and respond to routine medication-related inquiries from care teams.
• Maintain inventory, restock shelves, and manage controlled substances per policy and regulations.
• Document procedures and ensure compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and medication safety initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with pharmacists and other healthcare staff to resolve medication-related issues during rounds and department workflows.

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from a school recognized by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) as required by the Job Notes.
• Current valid license to practice Pharmacy in a State or Territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
• Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Registered Pharmacist; minimum of one (1) year experience as a Clinical Pharmacist.
• Ability to work in an inpatient/surgical center environment and participate in rotating shifts as needed.
• Fingerprinting must be submitted and cleared prior to start.
