We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Experienced Dental Receptionist to join our dynamic dental practice. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from the moment they walk through the door. Your expertise in medical administrative support, familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, and excellent customer service skills will help streamline clinic operations, manage patient scheduling, and facilitate accurate documentation. Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional front desk customer service, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software and coordinate patient flow throughout the day.
• Verify patient insurance coverage, process payments, and handle medical collections with accuracy and professionalism.
• Manage electronic health records (EHR systems) such as Epic, Meditech, eClinicalWorks, or Athenahealth to ensure precise documentation review and data entry.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies.
• Support clinical staff by reviewing care plans, updating medical records, and ensuring compliance with health information management standards.
• Handle phone communication with professionalism, utilizing proper phone etiquette and effective communication skills to address patient inquiries.
• Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology and health insurance knowledge to facilitate seamless documentation review and billing processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar dental or healthcare administrative role.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in bilingual settings preferred but not necessary.
• Demonstrated proficiency in dental billing, dental records management, and health information technology.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and data entry.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies essential for safeguarding patient information.
• Previous clinic experience combined with office experience is highly valued; familiarity with health insurance processes is a plus.
• Exceptional phone etiquette skills along with organizational abilities to support medical scheduling and administrative workflows.
