We are looking for an Operations Coordinator to support day-to-day administrative and field operations for a Contract position based in Portsmouth, Virginia. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys keeping processes organized, handling shifting priorities, and providing dependable support to both office and operational teams. The ideal candidate brings a proactive mindset, solid computer proficiency, and the ability to work accurately with schedules, labor records, and operational reporting. Training will be provided by the existing team to help the selected candidate become successful in the role.

Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support for daily operations, including stepping in to assist with dispatch-related coordination when coverage is needed.
• Maintain organized employee credential records and help ensure documentation is current, accessible, and properly tracked.
• Enter, review, and finalize timecard information while accurately capturing labor hours in internal systems.
• Monitor fuel usage data and prepare recurring reports in Excel to support operational visibility and cost tracking.
• Create and update spreadsheets, including summary tables and data analysis tools, to help management review workforce and operational metrics.
• Coordinate with field and office personnel to gather missing information, resolve record discrepancies, and keep operational data accurate.
• Support routine operational workflows by prioritizing multiple administrative tasks and meeting required deadlines.
• Contribute to a well-organized work environment by assisting with process documentation and general operations coordination needs.• At least 2 years of experience in operations support, administrative coordination, or a related role.
• Working knowledge of dispatch support, timekeeping, or workforce coordination processes.
• Experience handling timecards, labor hour tracking, or similar payroll-support documentation.
• Familiarity with employee credential tracking or document control activities.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to build and use Pivot Tables for reporting.
• Comfortable using computer-based systems with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Positive, efficient, and dependable approach with the ability to learn quickly in a team-oriented setting.
• Prior experience in the construction industry is preferred.
