Professionals receiving a doctoral degree in psychology should be capable of extending psychological knowledge and exhibiting the high level of analytic skills and theoretical understanding needed to use existing and emerging psychological knowledge.
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Business Assistant II for the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP). Among the key duties of the position are the following: Provides financial and operational support to both the Dean's Office and the Douglass Developmental Disabilities Center, an autism center. Tracks and reconciles financial activity. Processes procurement, cash receipt, and account administration transactions for unrestricted and restricted accounts. Supports payroll functions. Assists with a variety of accounting and administrative needs as assigned and performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Salary - 52602.480
Mid Range Salary - 64788.980
Maximum Salary - 76975.480

Work Arrangement - Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 or the applicable provisions of relevant collective negotiations agreements, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and practices.
Certifications/Licenses - A valid driver's license would be required for this position.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Strong communication skills. Advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Expected to demonstrate judgment and organizational skills while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Expected to prioritize tasks effectively and independence in meeting objectives. Regular communication and collaboration with GSAPP Business Managers to ensure timely, accurate completion of work and alignment on business office activities.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience in Rutgers applications Oracle Cloud Financial Management, Jaggaer (Marketplace), PeoplesoftHCM, ROCS, Enterprise Planning & Budgeting Cloud Service.
Equipment Utilized - PC, MS Office Suite, remote meeting applications.
Physical Demands and Work Environment - Crowded and moderately noisy conditions with children, adolescents, and staff moving about. Must be comfortable working in a specialized educational setting serving children with significant support needs.
Special Conditions - Selected candidates will be subject to a criminal history background check. In accordance with New Jersey State law, applicants must agree to undergo and authorize the University to conduct fingerprint, criminal history and/or child abuse record checks with various law enforcement agencies, including, but not limited to: the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Identification Division and/or the New Jersey Division of State Police, Bureau of Identification. Applicants must also assume any costs incurred by the University associated with the background investigations, whether required by statute or not. In accordance with state mandated requirements, candidate must be able to provide documentation of a negative Mantoux test or will be administered to the successful applicant to verify the absence of tuberculosis. In addition, the successful applicant, at the cost of the University, will be required to be inoculated against Hepatitis B unless the successful applicant waives this vaccination in writing.
