Travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer - Sonography/Ultrasound

American Traveler is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist with at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week assignment at a Level I Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma teaching hospital. Requirements Minimum 1 year of Ultrasound/Sonography experience with most recent experience within the last year Current BLS certification Active sonography license required if applicable Must be able to work confidently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted At least 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN is required for consideration Candidates who have previously worked a permanent position at an Advocate Health Southeast facility must be separated from that facility for at least 1 year before being considered Responsibilities Work in the Ultrasound department of a large Level I Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma academic teaching hospital also recognized as a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center Department serves 70–80 patients per day across adults and pediatrics from the ED, ICUs, nursing units, and outpatient settings covering the full spectrum of radiology exams and diagnoses Uses Siemens Sequoia ultrasound system with a full gamut of transducers EMR: Epic (experience preferred) 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday–Wednesday and Friday, 11:00 AM–9:30 PM No floating required On-call is required and shared on a fair rotation among full-time, part-time, PRN, and travel staff No weekend/weekday rotations — travelers remain on the contracted shift for the duration of the assignment Holiday coverage is expected unless time off is pre-approved First-time travelers are welcome to apply The department is supported by a lead tech, modality supervisor, and Imaging Manager, with a diverse team ranging from new grads to long-tenured staff Orientation includes a facility and departmental tour with introductions; departmental orientation is approximately 5 days but may be adjusted based on traveler needs Black scrubs are required for technologists Free parking is available in several nearby parking decks Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs #J-18808-Ljbffr Newsandtribune
