About the Position

Job Title: Certified OR/Surgical Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 5x8 (14:45 - 23:15) Experience: 2 years License: CST, BLS required Certifications: ACLS preferred Must-Have: Strong skills/proficiency in General, Bariatrics, Trauma, GYN, Urology, Robotics, Ortho, Neuro, and Podiatry specialties Description: Certified OR/Surgical Tech position requires experience and proficiency across various surgical specialties. Responsibilities include assisting in surgical procedures and ensuring the OR is well-maintained and fully equipped. The candidate will be responsible for patient safety and adhering to sterile techniques. On-call duties will be required, with an expected 5-6 calls per 4-week period, inclusive of one weekend call. The role includes working one shift every other weekend. Candidates must be willing to float within the specialty as needed. This position involves care for adolescent to geriatric patients. Common cases include General, Bariatrics, Trauma, GYN, Urology, Robotics, Ortho, Neuro, and Podiatry procedures. Holidays may be required based on the operational needs of the unit.
