Fabricator Responsibilities: Safely operate various machines, such as machines, punch presses, laser cutters, and other fabrication equipment Accurately read technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to fabricate parts to exact specifications Perform inspections to verify dimensions and quality of fabricated parts, ensuring they meet company and industry standards Manage raw materials and ensure that they are prepared, organized, and stored correctly for fabrication processes Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot minor issues to avoid downtime Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, using personal protective equipment (PPE) and reporting any hazards immediately Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives, including waste reduction and process optimization Requirements for Fabricator: High school diploma or GED required; vocational training in manufacturing or machining preferred 1-3 years of experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment; experience with presses or laser equipment is a plus Familiarity with blueprint reading, machine operation, and basic troubleshooting skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods; must be comfortable working in a noisy, fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
