Staff Accountant

Our client is a regional construction company and leading supplier of outdoor fitness and recreation equipment. Seeking to hire a Staff Accountant responsible for the preparation of financial reports and statements, invoicing, revenue accounting and reconciliation. In this role, you will be responsible for month end close and reporting processes. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Finance professional with proven technical skills in accounting and reporting. Responsibilities Assess and reconcile expense reports and credit card transactions Client invoices; prepare and process Manage and monitor AR balances and collections Assist in the monthly and year-end close process Perform account and bank reconciliations Maintain general ledger / account records, ensure accuracy and proper supporting documentation Compile and analyze financial records/reports Adhere to proper accounting standards/policies Communicate accounting-related matters to clients, vendors and internal departments Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance Min. 3-4+ years of Accounting experience required Min. 3-4+ years of Quick Books experience preferred AP / AR experience including understanding of AR and reconciliations General ledger maintenance and bookkeeping experience High attention to detail Experience exercising discretion and confidentiality with sensitive company information Ability to multi-task and prioritize Must be self-motivated, organized and be able to work with strict deadlines Excellent problem-solving and organization skills Strong communication and analytical skills Knowledge/Understanding of credit card reconciliation systems and reporting Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and accounting software Offering a Base Salary range of $70,000 - $80,000 We are, along with our clients, an Equal Opportunity Employer and are committed to hiring and supporting a diverse workforce.
