Location: Janesville, Wisconsin
Salary: $90,000-$110,000, depending on experience and qualifications

We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to join our Janesville, Wisconsin manufacturing operation. Reporting directly to the Controller , this role will play a key part in the company's financial operations, with responsibility for general accounting, monthly close, inventory and manufacturing cost accounting, financial reporting, and oversight of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

What You'll Do

• Take an active role in the monthly and year-end financial close process
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Assist with the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements
• Manage inventory accounting and reconciliations
• Analyze standard costs, manufacturing costs, and production variances
• Maintain fixed asset and capital expenditure accounting
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
• Support annual audit and tax reporting requirements
• Directly supervise and support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Strengthen accounting controls and identify opportunities to improve processes
• Partner closely with Operations, Purchasing, and other departments
• Provide financial analysis and support to the Controller and management team

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong general ledger and month-end close experience
• Manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred
• Inventory and cost accounting experience highly desirable
• Previous supervisory or team-lead experience preferred
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience working with ERP accounting systems
• SYSPRO experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to take ownership, meet deadlines, and work independently
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus, but not required
