Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at St. Luke's Therapeutics, you will work onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center located in Miami. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability and alleviating pain.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' functional capabilities using diagnostic and prognostic assessments, demonstrating advanced skills in muscle, nerve, and joint evaluations.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the proper execution of treatment plans aligned with patient needs.
• Administer manual therapeutic exercises and instruct clients on necessary non-manual exercises and functional activities to promote independence.
• Evaluate and adapt home environments to facilitate rehabilitation, providing actionable recommendations to increase patient independence.
• Maintain comprehensive clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with the highest documentation standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing to care planning and treatment evaluations that encompass total patient care.
• Offer guidance to patients and their families on using physical therapy equipment and the overall therapy program they are undertaking.
• Submit timely and accurate documentation concerning clinical and payroll matters, adhering to branch policies.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of community resources available to enhance patient recovery.
• Complete any additional duties as required to achieve organizational objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role involves working with a diverse population at varying stages of recovery. You will engage with patients who may be post-operative, recovering from injuries, or managing chronic conditions that affect their mobility and physical health. Your expertise will directly impact their ability to regain independence and improve overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A completed Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapist license in Florida without any history of sanctions or disciplinary issues.
• Extensive knowledge of contemporary physical therapy modalities, backed by current evidence-based practice.
• Strong proficiency in using EMR software, particularly Web PT, for effective clinical documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience delivering physical therapy services in a variety of settings, including inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient therapy.
• Proven ability to design and implement personalized exercise programs that yield successful patient outcomes.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques that enhance recovery and mitigate wellbeing challenges.

Compensation and Benefits

The Physical Therapist position at St. Luke's Therapeutics offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, accompanied by an excellent benefits package.
