Fractional VP Business Development

We are seeking an energetic and strategic Fractional Vice President of Business Development to drive growth and build market presence for a first‑of‑its‑kind product. As AI adoption races ahead of any real oversight, organizations need a trusted way to measure whether their technology supports the people who use it, and we built the standard that does it. This role is a rare chance to leverage your expertise in enterprise sales, channel partnerships, and client relationships to shape a company from the ground floor. As a key leader, you will develop and execute the business development strategy, open new partnership and enterprise opportunities, and build the pipeline that fuels our CTS Certified Specialist Program. This position is ideal for a motivated closer who thrives in a fast‑moving, founding‑stage environment and is passionate about turning technology into a human‑based industry. Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of a business development strategy aligned with company goals and the launch of the Certified Specialist Program. Identify, prospect, and cultivate channel and community partnerships that introduce new audiences to the program. Own the enterprise sales cycle from first contact to signed contract, ensuring a smooth experience for every client. Track leads, manage the pipeline, and analyze deal activity in ClickUp, our CRM, to inform decisions. Partner with the founder and senior team to craft proposals and presentations that resonate with prospective clients. Negotiate contracts and terms that secure profitable deals while protecting long‑term relationships. Coordinate the onboarding of new partners and enterprise accounts, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction. Maintain a current view of AI governance, technology ethics, and market trends to sharpen strategy. Qualifications Proven business development or enterprise sales experience with a clear record of closing. Strength in building channel and partnership pipelines, not just working a list of direct leads. Comfort with CRM and pipeline tools such as ClickUp; experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar transfers well. Demonstrated success in negotiation and strategic selling within fast‑paced or early‑stage settings. Self‑directed and startup‑ready, energized by building the go‑to‑market rather than inheriting it. Exceptional communication skills and a talent for influencing decision‑makers at every level.
