Job Objective Under the direction of the Director of cardiovascular services, performs a wide variety of diagnostic cardiac exams. Duties and Responsibilities Perform various cardiac examinations, including: 2D Echo, Doppler, color flow, stress echo, trans-esophageal, dobutamine stress echo, and pediatric echocardiography. Maintain current technique for each specific exam. Operate all cardiac ultrasound equipment properly and skillfully. Identify pathology and cardiac anatomy, evaluate images for diagnostic content, and assist physicians. Complete all procedures and prepare exams for interpretation by the cardiologist. Work on an on‑call basis outside of regularly scheduled hours, including after‑hours and holidays. Work independently following scheduled shifts or when the shift ends early. Demonstrate knowledge of age‑specific special needs and behaviors. Participate in age‑specific educational and training programs and demonstrate proficiency in required competencies. Required Licensure and/or Certifications DCS from ARDMS, or RCS/RCCS from CCI, or CRCS from CARDUP. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Thorough knowledge of all aspects of cardiac anatomy. Skilled in cardiac sonographic positioning and techniques. Ability to evaluate cardiac sonograms for technical excellence. Ability to operate and transport equipment. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Department operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Work in a normal lab setting during daytime hours. #J-18808-Ljbffr Antelope Valley Medical Center
