Nurse Practitioner OR Physician Assistant Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Nurse Practitioner OR Physician Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Medical Evaluations/ Routine Medical Care;
- Ordering Lab Work and Interpreting Results;
- Collaborate with the nursing staff and administration at each facility;
- Work with community primary care physicians;
- Developing Care Plans and Follow Up Visits;
- Medication management;
- Provide primary care and preventative care for patients in assigned care facilities;
- Sick Call Referrals;
- Chronic Care Clinics;
- Medical History;
- Providing and/or participating in clinical in-services and staff educational programs for the outpatient and inpatient Vascular Surgery service;
- Providing inpatient care and follow-up of assigned patients from OR to admission, and through discharge;
- Training Vascular Residents and staff in endoscopic vein harvest procedures;
- Providing and/or participating in clinical in-service training and staff educational programs for the inpatient service;
- Providing resident and intern training/education in utilization of plans of care to improve patient services and outcomes of treatment.
Requirements:
- Current Montana license as nurse practitioner or physician assistant;
- Current CPR License;
- Current DEA License with prescriptive authority;
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant training and subsequent experience in reproductive healthcare;

- A license without restriction to practice as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in Pennsylvania;
- Demonstrated skill in planning and organizing work, managing time, and meeting commitments;
- Demonstrated very high level of communication skills to effectively communicate verbally and in writing;

- Minimum 3 year experience, preferably at an FQHC;

- Will consider new grads but would prefer a minimum of 2 years experience as a Physician Assistant or 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner;
