Commercial Painter Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Commercial Painter to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Erecting scaffolding or setting up ladders safely to perform tasks above ground level;
- Filling nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty plaster;
- Simulating wood grain, marble, brick, tile or other special effects with cloth, brush, or sponge;
- Removing old paint from surfaces using paint remover, scraper, wire brush, or blowtorch to prepare surfaces for painting;
- Smoothing surfaces, using sandpaper, brushes, or steel wool;
- Painting surfaces using brushes, spray gun, or paint rollers;
- Must check completed parts for inspection, and also make adjustments were needed;
- Must be able to brush and roll;
- Perform daily cleaning and preventative maintenace on equipment;
- Must be able to apply primer and or use an electrostatic gun system;
- Analyze prodcution issues and resolve problems;
- Must have at least 5 years of painting experience.
Requirements:
- Drug free at all times;
- High standard of integrity and professionalism;
- Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation;
- Commercial painting experience ( Journeyman skill level );
- Commercial painting experience.
