Our company is looking for a Chief Inspector to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate site inspections of required items by the design EOR and the Office of State Building Inspector (OSBI);
- Coordinate with the Engineer of Record (EOR) the review of submittals, shop drawings and working drawings submitted by the contractor.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with DOT 192, FERC and OSHA regulations;
- Word and Excel Computer skills;
- Project experience with urban natural gas pipeline construction;
- Experience interpreting digital / film radiography of welds and pipe;
- Complete Company OQ courses with a satisfactory score to be qualified;
- Ability to read construction drawings, alignment sheets and valve maps and translate to actual field constructability;
- Ability to read and implement the OPM or TPC;
- Experience coordinating multiple contractors and inspectors across disciplines as Chief Inspector;
- Demonstrated abilitity to exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct;
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience within construction inspection;
- Qualified Compliance Inspector of Stormwater (QCIS) / Certified Erosion, Sediment and Stormwater Inspector (CESSWI);
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction Management;
- Excellent understanding in the interpretation of construction contracts including drawings, specifications, codes, standards, etc;
- Minimum of 8 years field experience in construction of steel pipes and related facilities;
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
