Our company is looking for a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Recording vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, or respiration rate;
  • Providing routine individualized healthcare needs;
  • Personal Care including bathing, dressing, mobility, incontinence care, feeding and other services;
  • Assist other STNAs and nurses at the direction of the Charge Nurse;
  • Follow facility procedures for admission, discharge and transfer of residents;
  • Giving basic emotional and psychological support to the patient and family;
  • Directly provide nursing or nursing-related service;
  • Maintaining records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report;
  • Assisting residents with daily living activities such as getting out of bed, bathing, dressing, using the toilet, standing, walking, or exercising;
  • Promoting patient’s mental alertness through involvement in activities of interest;
  • Ensure that nutritional needs of residents are met in accordance with established care plan;
  • Maintain physical environment in a clean, safe, and pleasant manner;
  • Ensure that residents’ medical needs are addressed through the delivery of quality nursing care;
  • Ensure that residents’ personal care needs are provided for with an emphasis on quality, compassion, and timeliness;
  • Perform other related activities as assigned or requested.

Requirements:

  • Must exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients;
  • Must be a graduate of a State-approved STNA program;
  • One (1) year geriatric nursing experience preferred;
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action;
  • Must be currently registered/licensed in applicable State. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment;
  • Must be able to communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team;
  • Up-to-date car insurance in your name, registration and valid Driver’s License;
  • License must be in good standing;
  • Successful completion of state testing for nursing assistants or completion of NATCEP class within past four months;
  • Highly organized with attention to detail;
  • State Testing Nurse’s Aide (STNA);
  • Must project a positive attitude;
  • Must be willing and able to learn;
  • Ability to read and write and accurately report;
  • Certified in the state as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
