The Licensed Massage Therapist consults with a client, records their basic medical history, assesses their conditions, and suggests appropriate massage techniques based on their current health. Performs massage therapy in a healthcare setting to control pain and promote wellness. Being a Licensed Massage Therapist may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Utilizes soft or deep tissue massage or other therapeutic massage methods to provide pain relief and promote healing. In addition, Licensed Massage Therapist typically reports to a manager. Requires certification as a massage therapist. Licensed Massage Therapist’s years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position’s specialty is the main requirement.

Our company is looking for a Licensed Massage Therapist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment;
  • Have knowledge and understanding of services and products offered;
  • Regularly attend and participate in any support training and staff meetings;
  • Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the spa;
  • Maintains the highest level of product knowledge and has complete knowledge of all Center services offered;
  • Answers guests’ questions in a knowledgeable and professional manner;
  • Reports any incidents or accidents to a member of the management team;
  • Cleans and disinfects all equipment on a daily basis;
  • Suggests to guests other beneficial treatments offered in the Center;
  • Understands the ingredients in products and can explain their benefits to guests;
  • Design specific sessions based on member’s/guest’s individual needs;
  • Must follow all policies and protocols;
  • If performing hot stone, deep muscle or prenatal therapy, must have appropriate training and satisfy the minimum clinic education hours;
  • Responsible for 8 to 10-minute chair massage – preforming myofascial release and/or trigger point massage.

Requirements:

  • Carry personal liability insurance;
  • Capable of performing/learning deep tissue, Swedish and maternity massage modalities;
  • Be Guest Service-oriented and communicate effectively with Guests;
  • Hold current state license to practice massage therapy;
  • CPR certified (must be obtained within 30 days from hire date);
  • Position offers 40 hours a month – Saturday Mornings – additional hours dependent on staffing needs;
  • Massage Therapy license (LMT License) Required;
  • Must be able to travel to Surprise, Glendale, Scottsdale, and Mesa offices weekly to fill in as needed.
