Our company is looking for a Cad Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates submittals for clients, governmental agencies, permitting agencies, etc. for reviews, approvals, and other milestones;
  • Must be able to identify and correct minute inconsistencies (e.g. in the printed word, design appearance, etc.);
  • May provide CAD training and guidance to others;
  • Perform CAD reviews to check project drawing files’ conformance with CAD standards;
  • Produce all drawings in accordance with applicable CAD Standards and Company protocol;
  • Collaborate effectively with other members of the project design team, potentially across multiple office locations;
  • Will do basic maintenance programming for CAD file management;
  • Completes changes up to drafting standards and procedures;
  • Develop quantities and document calculations;
  • Provide design support to Design Engineers;
  • Will work closely with project managers, geologists, engineers, and senior designers on assigned projects;
  • Review design layouts to find and resolve problems involving compatibility with basic design concepts;
  • Perform preliminary engineering calculations and develop preliminary designs;
  • Able to follow and work within Stantec’s CAD discipline and programs;
  • Participation in BIM coordination and clash detection sessions as necessary.
