Our company is looking for a Cad Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates submittals for clients, governmental agencies, permitting agencies, etc. for reviews, approvals, and other milestones;
- Must be able to identify and correct minute inconsistencies (e.g. in the printed word, design appearance, etc.);
- May provide CAD training and guidance to others;
- Perform CAD reviews to check project drawing files’ conformance with CAD standards;
- Produce all drawings in accordance with applicable CAD Standards and Company protocol;
- Collaborate effectively with other members of the project design team, potentially across multiple office locations;
- Will do basic maintenance programming for CAD file management;
- Completes changes up to drafting standards and procedures;
- Develop quantities and document calculations;
- Provide design support to Design Engineers;
- Will work closely with project managers, geologists, engineers, and senior designers on assigned projects;
- Review design layouts to find and resolve problems involving compatibility with basic design concepts;
- Perform preliminary engineering calculations and develop preliminary designs;
- Able to follow and work within Stantec’s CAD discipline and programs;
- Participation in BIM coordination and clash detection sessions as necessary.
