Our company is looking for a Survey CAD Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring field crew’s production and quality assurance;
  • Coordinating with supervisor to ensure client-specific demands are being met;
  • Carrying out initial QC of field deliverables according to standards and best practices;
  • Prepare detailed drawings of building alterations and additions including plans, sections, and elevations;
  • Prepare detailed layout, assembly, and working drawings; files and indexes drawings;
  • Work within project scopes, schedules, and budgets for projects;
  • Make pictorial and isometric drawings for reports; plots charts and curves from data;
  • Responsible for downloading/uploading field data, coordinating with and scheduling field crews;
  • Participate in making field surveys, determining locations and elevations for drawings;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Performs other duties as required;
  • Visit job sites and consultant offices as needed to support the project and business development needs.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent;
  • Ability to read and understand maps, legal descriptions, deeds and construction plans;
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office;
  • Team player who is self-motivated but can work independently as needed;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Physical demand requirements are at levels of those for sedentary or office environment work;
  • Must be physically able to operate a variety of job-related machines and/or Office Equipment;
  • Ability to multi-task on multiple assigned projects;
  • Experience with land surveying projects including preparation of survey plats, as-built surveys, boundary surveys, sketch and descriptions etc;
  • Must be able to move or carry job related objects or materials;
  • Strong technical and mathematical skills;
  • Must be familiar with CADD programs (AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microstation);
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience.
