Crew Chief Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Crew Chief to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Marketplace Specialists in preparation for the event;
- Responsible for all communication with LASSO crew during the event;
- Ability to be proactive and assertive with crew, and skilled at problem-solving;
- Prompt response with plan for no shows, tardy arrivals, and challenges on show site;
- Ability to clearly communicate directions, and being organized to capture and manage the required documentation;
- Proactively capture in and out times and breaks for the Marketplace Crew;
- Complete performance ratings for the Crew for each event, including quantitative and qualitative responses;
- Explain process and answer customer questions, as needed;
- Manage and control costs of production projects;
- Manage assets by protecting and using equipment and materials properly;
- Communicate clear expectations to Production Technicians and supervise their activities;
- Perform production processes as scheduled and ensure quality control;
- Monitor, communicate, and respond to customer needs/concerns;
- Manage job file documentation to ensure complete and accurate project details;
- Identify safety hazards, communicate, and establish control measures to ensure the safety of occupants and workers.
Requirements:
- Exceptional communication skills as this is a customer facing role;
- 5+ years’ experience as Event Crew Lead, of groups of 10 or more, working with Audio, Video and Technical labor resources in the AV industry;
- 5+ years’ technical experience in the AV industry;
- Possess the ability to be objective and resourceful when crew challenges arise;
- Ability to work with/around cleaning products/chemicals;
- Ability to travel locally and out of state when necessary;
- Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law;
- Experience in cleaning/restoration preferred;
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawls spaces, attics);
- Basic math skills;
- Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time;
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance;
- IICRC certifications preferred;
- Iicrc wrt required.
