Our company is looking for a Electrical Designer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Assists with engineering duties on projects of various complexity;
  • Performs field work as directed by a senior engineer/ designer;
  • Self-motivated to research assigned projects, new drafting techniques and increase job related knowledge to further career;
  • Basic knowledge of substation terminology and symbolism;
  • Define, measure, analyze, improve and control designs(DMAIC);
  • Assist in the development of new project work through client interaction and ongoing site activities;
  • Document designs in required formats, including BOMs;
  • Assist engineers in design work;
  • Coordinate with other functional teams during the life cycle of the product and be responsible for design modifications as required;
  • Actively participate in a working environment where teamwork, quality, and innovation are highly valued;
  • Life – Safety building requirements;
  • Responsible to permit comments;
  • Prepare technical information for peers, teams and clients;
  • Set up specification sheets for projects.

Requirements:

  • EIT and/or P.E. preferred but not required;
  • Self-driven, works well in team environment with strong communication skills;
  • Minimum of three years of proven experience in planning and design of commercial and industrial electrical construction and infrastructure;
  • End device knowledge;
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in electrical design and/or drafting;
  • Instrumentation Index;
  • Instrument Data Sheets;
  • Develop ability to coordinate associated disciplines for a group of projects;
  • Experience with existing building system take-offs and design;
  • Drafting experience: understanding of dimensioning and different view projections;
  • Proficiency with Electrical CAD tools Zuken E3 Cable and NX Routing or equivalent;
  • Conduit/cable schedules;
  • Semiconductor capital equipment experience a plus;
  • Loop Diagrams;
  • Desired – Experience PCB layout, OrCAD, Allegro, Printed Circuit Board (PCB), Circuit Card Assembly (CCA).
