Electrical Engineering Internship Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Electrical Engineering Internship to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Some travel to our Waukegan location;
- Communication skills, both verbal and written, communicating results and findings with the EE team, creation of test and project reports;
- Design of product, electrical test and mechanical fixtures, running engineering tests, part inspection, failure analysis, and process characterization;
- Analyze electrical schematics, PCB layouts, embedded firmware, and software source code to assist in engineering activities;
- Participate in design, process, and continuous improvement projects that impact limited production function;
- Use of test equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, meters, power supplies;
- Creation or improvement of acceptance test software systems;
- Meet with production technicians, internal customers, or other engineers to understand project requirements, objectives, timelines, and tasks;
- Testing high-voltage circuits (10s of kilovolt);
- Design 3D models for different projects;
- Designing and building surface mount electrical circuits;
- Perform hands-on tasks such as building ion propulsion drone or assembling power supply prototypes;
- Research on cutting edge technology such as ion propulsion and induction plasma;
- Testing electrical circuits and components using computer-controlled data collection;
- Analyze the data collected and visualize the data using python.
Requirements:
