Electronics Test Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Electronics Test Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze measurement data to identify abnormalities, trends and/or predicting future values;
- Proven analytical and organizational ability;
- Adapt existing calibration equipment, standards, and techniques to accomplish unique measurements tasks for which they are not principally used;
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills;
- Maintain data consisting of traceable results and history of calibrated equipment “software/hardcopy”;
- Interact with other metrology technicians, engineers, and assembly technicians to resolve metrology/calibration issues;
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of precision equipment where applicable;
- Ability to participate and contribute to several projects simultaneously;
- Willingness and motivation to learn new calibration processes and equipment;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Analyze calibration cycles and IM&TE inventory to ensure consistent availability;
- Rigorous testing of electronic equipment and boards using company software;
- Diagnose and isolate malfunction to component level with use of schematic and troubleshooting guides;
- Perform rework and update software to current version;
- Debug circuit boards.
Requirements:
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and electronic components;
- Ability to assemble and disassemble products using all basic hand tools;
- Experience working with programming devices and components using equipment such as MPLAB’s ICD3;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision;
- Possess effective written and verbal communication skills, enabling correspondence with internal departments, vendors, and customers;
- 2+ years of experience as an electronic technician/ test technician;
- Must Possess effective written and verbal communication skills, enabling correspondence with internal departments, vendors, and customers;
- Solid understanding of electricity;
- Ohm’s Law, Power Law;
- Develop wiring diagrams and layout drawings;
- Measure Voltage, Current, Capacitance, Inductance, Impedance and Resistance;
- Alternating and Direct Current;
- Three-Phase electric power;
- Associate’s degree in electronic field and/or equivalent technical experience;
- Willing to work and passion for learning.
