Electronics Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Electronics Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Understand personal limitations and when to stop and ask for assistance;
- Understands and implements aerospace best practices, meets quality requirements, and space-flight work habits;
- Experience in working in clean room environments, under ESD protections, and stored energy safe practices;
- Assemble PCB’s using both thru-hole and surface mount components;
- perform test equipment repair and enhancements;
- Assemble and/or modify electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering data and electrical principles;
- identify work order number, assembly number, assembly revision;
- review Post Wave Instructions prior to rework for any special requirements such as Solder, Baking, Tools, IPC class and Specific Instruction;
- Setup and execute functional testing as well as thermal testing to ensure product will function properly and meet customer requirements;
- Collaborate with design engineers to improve product quality;
- Replaces defective wiring and components (if cost effective), or records defects on tag attached to unit and returns unit for repair;
- Stacks materials for storage;
- Revise electrical blueprints;
- Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot precision electronic equipment;
- Rewrite PLC programming to increase machine efficiency.
Requirements:
- Firewatch;
- Ability to efficiently troubleshoot electrical control systems;
- Must be able to analyze, read, and interpret technical data;
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision;
- US Citizen;
- Must be able to read wiring prints;
- Associate degree or 5+ years of relevant work experience;
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions prioritize work, complete multiple tasks, work under deadlines, concentrate and apply craft skills;
- Must have own basic electronic tools;
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs ability to walk, stand and sit for extended periods, and climb stairs;
- Knowledge of trouble diagnosis;
- Ability to organize and prioritize projects in accordance to department timelines;
- Graduation from an accredited high school (or valid General Educational Development certificate) is required;
- Knowledge of telecommunications regulations, laws and standards;
- Complete work in a clean and organized environment as well as in accordance with ESD regulations and procedures.
