Our company is looking for a Landscape Architect / Designer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing presentation packages, sketching schematic design, delegating and managing drawings;
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as requested;
  • Responsible for overseeing and assembling project deliverables under direction of Principal and Senior Project Managers;
  • Updates electronic files;
  • Assists with site observations and reviews during the construction phase of projects;
  • Preparing construction documents, design development – details and delegating and managing drawings;
  • Provides design documentation in the form of graphic illustration, imagery research and documentation on assigned projects;
  • Project Designer, collaboration with principal in concept development and design features;
  • Communicates with assigned project team and others regarding project work as necessary;
  • Assists in preparation of client meetings and presentations.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn and apply applicable codes and regulations;
  • Able to assemble and develop construction packages for a variety of project types;
  • Excellent design and graphic skills, and the ability to generate and articulate design concepts and solutions;
  • Five years or more of directly related experience;
  • Proficiency with hand sketching, InDesign, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Photoshop;
  • Able to communicate with the entire design/build team in a fast-paced office environment;
  • Real world knowledge and understanding of landscape and hardscape construction;
  • Proficiency at hand drawing and in the use of a CAD based drafting and modeling software (Vectorworks preferred);
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Experience with Construction Project Management, including quality control, estimating and budgeting;
  • Knowledge of common and unique plant varieties that are desirable in residential landscapes;
  • Exceptional skill in developing high quality presentations and construction documents;
  • Maintain cutting edge knowledge in the field;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to build strong client relationships;
  • Solid plant knowledge.
