Our company is looking for a Materials Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain all GMP areas with consistency as stated in the sanitation performance checklist of SOP;
- Operate van and forklift for loading/unloading and delivery of supplies and equipment;
- Will be working in a cold room environment;
- Receive, store and distribute raw materials, intermediate and marketed products in compliance with GMP and company standards;
- Leads training for on the job training of new team members;
- Utilizes computerized or automated systems to accomplish tasks;
- Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks to move stock or organize materials;
- Receive and ship materials to necessary clients using FedEx, US Mail, or other postal carriers;
- Maintain and order inventory of supplies;
- Codes invoice line items with general ledger accounts. Maintains and reconciles all incomplete purchase orders to invoices;
- Receives all facility supplies and makes notation of the received amounts on the purchase orders;
- Verifies all approval signatures per policies prior to processing invoices;
- Reviews and restocks daily all supplies in the nursing stations that are below par level;
- Reviews all invoices. Reconciles invoices to packing slips and purchase orders. Verifies invoice charges for ordered and agreed rates;
- Handles inventory appropriately. Rotates inventory continually. Maintains adequate inventory levels.
Requirements:
- Position may require employees to work shifts, holidays, weekends, and over-time;
- Physical requirements including stooping, standing, climbing and frequent lifting upto 50lbs;
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Valid Driver’s License with Clean Driving record;
- Warehouse and material handling experience, prefer pharmaceutical industry experience;
- Basic computer literacy; Excel, Word. Good reading, writing and communication skills;
- Warehouse and material handling experience including fork lift training; prefer pharmaceutical industry experience;
- Ability to maintain DOT Medical Certification in order to drive company truck.
