Quality Tech Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Quality Tech to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Audits/inspects raw material, component parts, sub-assemblies, and finished goods to ensure conformance to specifications;
- Perform duties in accordance with current Quality Management System, Safety Management System, and Manitowoc Code of Conduct requirements;
- Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards;
- File quality paperwork in quality lab;
- Assist Quality Manager with PPAP Requirements and daily activities in support of the company quality management system;
- Perform Receiving inspection activities on incoming material;
- Review and dispose of scrap at the end of the shift;
- Ensure all material on shop floor is identified with appropriate tag;
- Assist manufacturing with checking/approving first piece inspections and tool repairs;
- Assist manufacturing with rework operations; provide acceptance criteria, product labeling, and re-inspection of reworked material;
- Keep quality lab organized and neat;
- Perform dimensional/visual inspections per control plan using the appropriate inspection equipment;
- Perform Final Inspections activities on outgoing product.
Requirements:
- Proven and recent work experience as a Quality Technician, this experience must be present on your resume;
- Must have reliable transportation;
- Resume must show a stable work experience;
- Understanding of Metrology;
- Passing Drug Screen and Background Check;
- Understanding of ISO Standard;
- Must be able to present at least one professional reference;
- Must be able to start immediately.
