The Senior Process Engineer collects production data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes. Develops and optimizes continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization. Our company is looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of Conceptual and Detailed Designs, Feasibility Studies, and Front-End Engineering Studies;
  • Embraces and promotes the INEOS 20 Safety Principles and INEOS Life Saving Rules;
  • Perform GMP cleanroom downstream production of Cas9 mRNA;
  • Work independently in the field to determine as-built conditions and design new project work in a plant retrofit environment;
  • Provide high quality data and ELN documentation to drive decision making in the CMC team;
  • Responsible for maintaining laboratory functions and other routine tasks as required;
  • Report writing, presentations, project management, and potentially supervision responsibilities;
  • Spending up to 25% of your time in industrial facilities working in the field and with clients;
  • Participate in troubleshooting of significant process issues, as needed;
  • Develop positive relationships with managers and staff to enable the development and implementation of these processes;
  • Work collaboratively using judgement to determine adaption and make recommendations in methods for non-routine aspects of assignments;
  • Develop cost estimates as needed;
  • Strong customer focus with commitment to building enduring relationships that yield customer satisfaction and loyalty;
  • Provide process engineering expertise to the Hazard Evaluation Lab and the Process Hazard Analysis team;
  • Prepare in Process Hazards Analysis (PHA) to ensure safety in design and facility operations, and in Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR).

Requirements:

  • Supervising the work of materials, engineering & technicians and other staff;
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter who continuously seeks innovative solutions;
  • Liaising with colleagues in manufacturing, technical and scientific support, purchasing and marketing;
  • Advising on inspection, maintenance and repair procedures;
  • Helping to ensure that products comply with national and international legal and quality standards;
  • Good planning, multi-tasking, and project management skills;
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in commercial or pilot manufacturing of Drug Substance, chemical intermediate, and/or specialty material;
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work effectively with multiple assignments;
  • BS in Chemical Engineering;
  • Film mixing, coating, converting and punch press experience preferred;
  • Chemical processing experience preferred;
  • Up to 10-25% percent domestic and/or international travel annually;
  • Ability to function independently as well as part of a team;
  • Demonstrated track record of completing projects on time and accomplishing goals;
  • Demonstrated ability to apply Chemical Engineering principles to complete process engineering tasks with minimal supervision.
