Our company is looking for a Certified Public Accountant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective accounting policies and processes;
- Maintain and organize digital and physical financial records;
- Organize and file all federal, state and local income tax documents;
- Respond to tax and accounting related issues;
- Conduct periodic audits to guarantee accuracy in financial records, expenses, and savings;
- Assess all business transactions and prepare accurate reports on your findings;
- Coordinate with employees on income tax research and planning;
- Contribute to budgeting procedures;
- Ensure you remain up-to-date on industry changes and changes in regulations;
- Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances;
- Help in development of reports for management or regulatory bodies;
- Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices;
- Manage journal entries, invoices etc. and reconcile accounts;
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements;
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and annual audit.
Requirements:
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills;
- A minimum of 5 years’ proven experience as a public accountant;
- Good communication and organizational skills;
- Solid understanding of accounting software such as QuickBooks and MS Office;
- CPA certification is required;
- Outstanding tax knowledge of local, state and federal regulations;
- CPA license is required;
- Exceptional organizational skills and aptitude for numbers;
- Able to thrive in deadline-driven environment;
- Proficient in Lacerte (or other Professional Tax software), Quickbooks, Microsoft Office, and Data Bases;
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills;
- 5+ years of experience in an accounting related field;
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and business regulations;
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA certification;
- Understanding of data analysis and forecasting.
