Financial Systems Analyst implements, maintains and updates financial systems. Modifies system menus, edits spreadsheets and reports, and troubleshoots system problems. Being a Financial Systems Analyst imports files to and exports files from financial databases. Trains staff on the use of financial systems and acts as a liaison to the information technology department. Additionally, Financial Systems Analyst requires a bachelor’s degree. Typically reports to Manager. The Financial Systems Analyst contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. To be a Financial Systems Analyst typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience.

Our company is looking for a Financial Systems Analyst to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead an area of responsibility along a project implementation timeline;
  • Work iteratively with IT to further define business requirements and review initial process / program designs; maintain appropriate contacts in IT;
  • Be cognizant of the appropriate validation path for respective areas of responsibility, including an emphasis on operating groups;
  • Analyze and understand EH processes, as well as the financial and/or payroll applications that support these processes;
  • Participate in system test initiatives for specific areas of responsibility;
  • Provide on-going support, to operating groups and corporate customers;
  • Participate in business requirements gathering initiatives for specific areas of responsibility.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of financial systems analysis and financial systems administration experience;
  • Highly developed analytical skills with exceptional ability with Microsoft Excel and the full MS Office Suite;
  • Strong ability to build trust and influence others;
  • Travel – Ability to travel 30% domestically to plant locations;
  • Teamwork mindset – Ability to successfully interact with individuals within and outside of the organization;
  • Thorough knowledge of financial statements and underlying accounting entries;
  • Strong experience with Oracle, Hyperion, and MS Power BI;
  • Flexibility – Ability to support the department with additional hours during month end close, quarterly review and annual inventory as needed;
  • Systems implementation experience highly preferred;
  • Technology – Strong background with data entry, spreadsheets, database software, Enterprise Accounting software and Outlook;
  • CPA or CMA preferred;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Information Systems, Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance;
  • Self-Starter – Possess initiative and able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
