Our company is looking for a Tax Director to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for transfer pricing planning and studies;
  • Provide strategic direction, technical guidance, and leadership to the Tax team of five or more;
  • Partner and manage the relationship with external tax advisors;
  • Reviews tax returns and related documents to ensure compliance with federal, state and international laws. Authorizes the payment of taxes due;
  • Works closely with Accounting to provide tax rates for review of business results and forecasts;
  • Advises top management of the impact of new tax laws and proposed legislation;
  • Pursues refunds, credits and incentives as the company moves into new markets or new locations to maximize tax benefits to the company;
  • Review quarterly tax provisions and various tax computations;
  • Develop recommendations and implementation plans for clients and team members;
  • Oversee preparation of worldwide transfer pricing documentation, including master file, local files, and country by country reporting;
  • Recognize complex technical tax issues, perform research and analysis to support management decision-making;
  • Other duties as required;
  • Develop federal and state tax planning ideas;
  • Attend professional development and training sessions;
  • Manage U.S. international tax compliance process, including subpart F income, GILTI, foreign tax credits, and expense allocations.

Requirements:

  • Experience in fast-paced environment, highly driven with the ability to conduct multiple tasks and meet deadlines;
  • Individual contributor but willing to teach/mentor;
  • CPA license in good standing;
  • Minimum of seven years’ experience in tax (five of which should be in a management position);
  • Outstanding organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills;
  • Driven professional to ensures deadlines are met sooner rather than later;
  • Attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture;
  • Full competence in subordinates’ duties and tasks;
  • Work effectively in a professional team environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects, especially long-term;
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow and reassign as necessary;
  • Ability or interest in generating and building business, ability to delegate work and manage staff;
  • Experience mentoring and training more junior level team members;
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, engineering, technology, or related field;
  • Able to manage multiple complex projects and deliver in a timely manner.
