Our company is looking for a Cloud Architect to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure delivered solutions meet/perform to technical and functional/non-functional requirements;
  • Maintain overall industry knowledge on latest trends, technology, etc;
  • Determines methods and procedures for new assignments with minimal guidance;
  • Work with enterprise architecture, infrastructure services and application development organizations to choose appropriate technology solutions;
  • Work closely with tech vendors, partners and design services firms;
  • Drive intensive readiness testing across all selected cloud platforms;
  • Collaborate with key partners, developers, product and program management;
  • Recommend cost optimizations and to ensure cloud resources are operating as efficiently as possible;
  • Identify recurring problems/bottlenecks and build the tools and processes to prevent problems from recurring;
  • Work in an Agile Environment;
  • Design reliable solutions with failure in mind;
  • Support On-Call for operational issues;
  • Evolve systems by championing changes that improve reliability and scalability;
  • Manage and appropriately escalate delivery roadblocks, risks, issues, and challenges;
  • Mentor colleagues within the team.

Requirements:

  • Degree in a computer science or engineering field;
  • Open Stack;
  • Experience with ETL architectures, data movement technologies, and data ingest solutions;
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to make significant decisions and recommendations on complex issues to achieve long-term results and strategic objectives;
  • Minimum of 8 years of Java/JVM enterprise application development experience;
  • Displays a mastery of Windows Server 2012 and above, Active Directory, Group Policy, Hyper-V, and VMM;
  • Expert level understanding of current vendor technology offerings in the hybrid cloud space;
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills;
  • Desired certifications are preferred (MSCE/ITIL);
  • Java and J2EE. Spring boot, spring cloud stack;
  • Familiarity with common enterprise solutions(i.e., Oracle, Microsoft, SAP, VMWare, etc.);
  • Deep level architecture knowledge of the leading public cloud providers;
  • Provide technical writing support to proposals, based on availability;
  • Experience with AWS and associated cloud technologies is a requirement.
