Our company is looking for a Cloud Data Architect to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Research and IT team to collect and manage diverse codeset on Gitbhub;
  • As a subject matter expert provides leadership and technical counseling to IT staff and research users as necessary;
  • Participates in vendor selection for the deployment of data solutions as needed;
  • Works with IT team to review compliance of data security for research applications, network and cloud infrastructure, and data storage;
  • Performs other duties as assigned;
  • Design engineer solutions involving virtual private clouds (VPC), compute instances, storage, load balancers and security within AWS;
  • Participate in negotiations and administer contracts with private vendors to provide services;
  • Monitor changes in regulations and technology that may affect operations; implements policy and procedural changes after approval.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud services administration including provisioning and configuring resources in cloud-based environments;
  • Certification in Amazon Web Services is a plus;
  • Experience with database management and operations, including ETL tools for data mapping, data warehousing, and data pipelining;
  • Experience with TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Automated Testing;
  • Design engineer solutions involving virtual private clouds (VPC), compute instances, storage, load balancers and security within AWS;
  • The ideal candidate is an experienced API engineer with experience in Healthcare standard formats namely DICOM, HL7, CDA, X12;
  • Proficient with API, serverless technologies on AWS;
  • Experience with supporting Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning workflows at production-level scale is a plus;
  • Experience developing APIs, RPCs and clinical application code;
  • Participate in negotiations and administer contracts with private vendors to provide services;
  • Understanding of current and emerging cloud security trends;
  • Monitor changes in regulations and technology that may affect operations; implements policy and procedural changes after approval;
  • Familiarity with big data tools and programming frameworks for parallel and distributed computing, such as Hadoop and Spark.
