Cloud Platform Architect Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Cloud Platform Architect to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Be able to educate others within the organizations in the areas of your expertise;
- Generate project support documentation, including procedural documents for implemented systems when scope requires;
- Stay current with emerging technologies and advancements within existing technologies;
- Work as part of an implementation team and maintain a strong adherence to company Core Values;
- Participate as needed on Innovation Teams for Emerging Technology Solutions;
- Participate in the creation of High-Level Designs and Low-Level Designs for areas of expertise.
Requirements:
- Experience with Automation and Infrastructure as Code concepts using tooling such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc;
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, etc;
- Must have Professional Services experience leading large enterprise deployments;
- Strong preference for experience with application rationalization;
- Independent and self-motivated and very thorough worker;
- Must understand Public, Private, & Hybrid Cloud Strategies;
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with great attention to detail;
- Experience with integrating heterogeneous environments;
- Industry Certifications related to Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP);
- Knowledge of other cloud management platforms such as vRealize Automation, Cisco CloudCenter, and Red Hat CloudForms;
- Experience with the deployment of Virtualization technologies is required;
- Must have the ability to understand the interdependencies of how various technology components integrate with one another;
- Experience with automation tools such as, Salt, Puppet, Chef, etc;
- Fluent understanding of Agile and/or ITIL;
- Familiarity with the Cloud ecosystem, products and solutions.
