Our company is looking for a IT Support Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Microsoft applications / Office 365 admin;
- Participate in regular reviews of IT spending vs. budget and identify areas for savings and optimizations;
- User hardware/software/peripheral support;
- Set up new user accounts, equipment, and access to systems when new staff are onboarded;
- Supporting a range of video conferencing solutions;
- Provide direct and dedicated support to the client for repair, troubleshooting, consulting, and use of computer, network, and related systems;
- Provide technical support for computer network issues;
- Windows and Mac management using appropriate software;
- Document operational activities;
- Test computer system operations to ensure proper functioning;
- Perform virus, malware and spyware removal from network and individual PCs;
- Test computer hardware and software performance;
- Documents and reports all service requests and their outcome, following standard procedures and practices;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Analyze security of systems, network, or data.
Requirements:
- Project management skills to manage various IT related projects;
- Windows 8-10, Mac OS X and Microsoft Office;
- Understanding of Active Directory, file servers and Exchange 2013 basic management;
- Motivated by the success of others / willingness to be flexible;
- Desired qualifications: Apple certified technician, A+ IT Professional preferred;
- Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request details;
- A demonstrated commitment to teamwork and collaboration;
- Must pass background check;
- General understanding of networking communication architecture including Switch, Firewall, and VOIP configurations;
- Wiring responsibilities require the ability to differentiate between colors;
- May be asked to work shifts including nights, weekends & holidays;
- Understanding of recommended support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services;
- Advanced understanding of operating systems, business applications, printing systems, and network systems;
- Technical phone support is a plus;
- Ability to work flexible hours and days/some weekends.
