Our company is looking for a Propulsion Design Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assembly of first article prototypes;
  • Collaborating with team members to write, review, and update work instructions for assembly of engine components;
  • Clean sheet design of valves, pumps, sensors, actuators, and other engine components;
  • Design modification of existing components and prototypes to improve performance or resolve limitations;
  • Structural and Thermal analysis of assemblies and components using simplified as well as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) techniques;
  • Coordinating with outside vendors to procure parts and components.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of and hands-on experience with fluid, mechanical, and electrical systems;
  • Experience with GD&T per ASME Y14.5;
  • Desire to take ownership and help wherever needed on the team;
  • Willingness to own component or subsystem specification, prototyping, testing, integration, and troubleshooting;
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Master’s is a plus);
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Computer Aided Design and Drawings using PTC Creo or similar;
  • Experience with structural/thermal analysis using FEA software.
