Our company is looking for a Senior Aerospace Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with installation/engine certification plan;
  • Interact with customers to provide design data and instructions for aircraft installations;
  • Use FEA and CFD analysis tools to design engine and installation systems and components;
  • Lead the design and development of engine installation packages that meet all 14CRF Part 23 and Part 33 requirements;
  • Work with technicians to oversee installations and expediently work through problems as they arise;
  • Develop and analyze installation/engine test plans, assist with test execution, and review test data;
  • Assist and/or oversee development of all documentation, including design, installation, maintenance, parts, and operation;
  • Provide design feedback on primary engine components as they integrate with the aircraft to meet performance, durability, and regulatory requirements;
  • Interact with suppliers and consultants to meet project requirements and deadlines;
  • Develop engineering plans and reports supporting UAV and range R&D and T&E activities;
  • Perform evaluations of COTS/GOTS/Open Source software products from business and technical perspectives;
  • Develop astrodynamics-based solutions using Agile/Scrum software development methodologies;
  • Utilize Microsoft Office products to conduct daily duties;
  • Support software development for ongoing J2EE development projects.

Requirements:

  • Software development skills and experience using Java, C/C++, Python, .NET, or coding languages;
  • Experience in operating spacecraft in all orbital regimes (LEO, HEO, GEO);
  • Experience working with a software development team;
  • Ability to perform in a high intensity, quick reaction environment;
  • Demonstrated experience with scripting languages to automate astrodynamic computations (MATLAB, Perl, VBScript);
  • 7 years of experience with satellite or spacecraft operations;
  • 10+ years of experience performing astrodynamics modeling, simulation and analysis;
  • Experience working in an operational environment and timelines – supporting anomaly resolution teams;
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering; Master of Science is highly desired;
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field;
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field;
  • Must be a US Citizen;
  • Excellent documentation and report writing skills are essential for this position;
  • Must have the ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance after hire.
