Our company is looking for a SAS Programmer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with developers, analysts, and project managers to identify and mitigate risks to quality;
  • Design, Develop and Optimize test scripts using standard test automation tools;
  • Programming, scripting, and other duties as assigned;
  • Perform verification and QA of algorithms, data sets and reports used in creating and/or analyzing customer data;
  • Verify data back loads to ensure: all dates accounted for, data is accurate and reports accurately reflect data;
  • Define, document and execute test plans and procedures;
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor;
  • Responsible for loading, validating, documenting, managing, and analyzing data for both internal and collaborative research projects;
  • Responsible for assisting with data storage and management issues around both new and ongoing projects within the Division;
  • Contribute to team by timely accomplishment of projects, enhancements and solutions relative to approved initiatives;
  • Actively participate in status meetings and operational reviews;
  • Assist team members in problem solving and designing solutions;
  • Convert research code to production code insuring that all code is in compliance with governance;
  • Provide knowledge transfer/training on all developed solutions;
  • Design, develop, document and unit test efficient SAS programs using SAS EG and developing SAS DI jobs.

Requirements:

  • Attention to detail;
  • Proficiency with SAS/BASE (Data step programming) and SAS/SQL or other relational database software (e.g., Oracle);
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects;
  • Experience with statistical analysis and SAS/STAT procedures;
  • Experience working in a UNIX environment;
  • Banking and financial experience is a plus, but not mandatory;
  • Experience with relational database systems;
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary research team;
  • Minimum Bachelors/Master’s preferred;
  • Strong conceptual skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail;
  • Work constructively and effectively within the Demand Planning team;
  • Ability to prioritize, plan and organize work and adhere to strict timelines;
  • Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical topics with diverse user groups.
