Staff Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Staff Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the review of contractor plans, including goals, objectives and schedules and timelines;
- Commitment to objectives regarding safety, quality, cost, delivery and management according to the department business plan;
- Develops and tests various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods;
- Design and test electronic products;
- Attend shift meetings and other applicable to the position;
- Budgeting;
- Preparation of technical, financial or process analysis related reports;
- Perform all other duties that may be requested by the Transportation Engineering and/or Airport Division Manager;
- Expect to collaborate with engineers in Korea on requirements;
- Assist in the preparation of reports documenting all findings, conclusions and recommendations resulting from the analysis;
- Performs field work as directed by a senior engineer/ designer;
- Work closely with design verification to test plan and otherwise ensure proper functionality;
- Assists with basic engineering duties on projects of various complexity;
- Interact with CPU and GPU cache engineers to produce a good system level solution;
- Deliver quality micro-architectural level documentation.
Requirements:
- Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods;
- Strong machining, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical skills PLC and CNC skills;
- Preparation of technical, financial or process analysis related reports;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Experience using Linux or UNIX-variant operating systems;
- Preparing engineering reports;
- Strong knowledge of in Coherent Interconnect protocols;
- BSEE, Computer Engineer or comparable and 10 + years of experience;
- Mandarin speaker is a big plus;
- Support of HE and/or Maintainability Demos;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork, and communication skills, both written and verbal (English);
- PhD dissertation on metallic alloys;
- Strong interest and background in AutoCAD, data visualization, and 3D modeling;
- Proven record in R&D project management skills;
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
