Windows Administrator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Windows Administrator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in a 24×7 on call rotation;
- Manage and improve server lifecycle – deploy, patch, upgrade, and automate;
- Build cool stuff;
- Support Zoox’s Window systems and applications;
- Track and monitor system health;
- Daily administration, documentation, & operation of physical and virtual server infrastructure environments;
- 24/7 Rotational On-Call Support;
- Assist in integration and documentation of new applications and technologies;
- Building servers by providing technical configuration, setup, installation services, and coordination of application projects.
Requirements:
- Experience with VMWare solutions;
- Some scripting abilities (Powershell, python, batch);
- Experience with Windows automated or unattended installation;
- Understanding of daily tasks based on Microsoft technologies;
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience;
- Active Directory & Group Policies (AGPM a plus);
- Backup management of virtual machines;
- DNS, DHCP, Certificate Services (PKI);
- The ability to document administrative tickets and Change Control tickets as necessary;
- An understanding of hardware monitoring & management, especially with Cisco UCS servers;
- Requires comprehensive experience in security design tools;
- Office 365 knowledge;
- Basic knowledge of security best practices;
- Requires demonstrated competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems;
- The ability to work with the helpdesk/IT team to resolve user-related issues and requests.
